The AR-15 Experience

Build Your Skills,
Improve Your Confidence

The AR experience is designed around the AR-15 Armorer/Operator Course. It is designed to take any level of shooter, familiarize them with the AR-15/M4 platform, teach them how to build and maintain the weapon, and finally become proficient at employing the weapon. In addition to the weapons course, students will be taught the basics of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC). Based on the military’s Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course, this instruction involves hands-on training and practical exercises. The course is intended to introduce the student to basic life savings skills, principals of tactical first aid, and operating in the three phases of tactical casualty care.

The course is hands-on, in which students are provided with real weapons components that they will assemble into a fully functioning weapons platform; a weapon they keep after the class. More than just an observational class, students will be practicing their skills, under the observation and individual attention from our expert instructor cadre. During the course, students participate in range exercises focused on field-expedient maintenance and repair methods as well as weapons manipulation and marksmanship.

Our class covers a variety of topics, including weapon mechanics, weapon repair, identification of weapon parts, proper maintenance of weapon functionality, weapon disassembly and reassembly techniques, weapon system maintenance, design theory, and historical relevance. All our students receive thorough training on proper loading, unloading, firing, and safety techniques. Each student will deploy their weapons on the range where they will learn marksmanship, firing from various positions and conditions, reloads and field expedient maintenance to repair a firearm and keep it functioning in the fight.
